Taxonomy
Permodomatoceras trapezoidale was named by Ruzhentsev and Shimanskiy (1954). Its type specimen is PIN 626/18 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aktasty River west, Aktyubinsk Region, which is in an Artinskian marine limestone in Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Permodomatoceras.
