Taxonomy
Cycloscena costata was named by Waterhouse (1963) [== Keenia sp. Waterhouse 1958 p. 605]. Its type specimen is TM 2987, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GS5885, Wairaki Gorge (D44/f9604), which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in New Zealand.
