Brachythyrinella papillionata
Taxonomy
Spirifer papillionata was named by Sahni and Srivastava (1956). Its type specimen is GSI 17651 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khemgaon Chorten, Sikkim, which is in an Asselian coastal sandstone in India.
It was recombined as Brachythyrinella papillionata by Cisterna and Archbold (2007).
