Taxonomy
Septopora andeana was named by Sakagami (1995). Its type specimen is DESC-95035 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yaurichambi-A Section, Sample Ya20a, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in the Copacabana Formation of Bolivia.
