Taxonomy
Ebenaqua ritchiei was named by Campbell and Duy Phuoc (1983). Its type specimen is AM F58674 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Clinker Hill, Blackwater coal mine (discovery coll.), which is in a Changhsingian lacustrine shale in the Rangal Coal Measures Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Ebenaqua.
