Bellerophon incomptus

Taxonomy
Bellerophon incomptus was named by Gurley (1884). It is not extant. Its type locality is Roof rock of the No. 7 coal, which is in a Desmoinesian/Gzhelian marine limestone in the Fort Scott Limestone Formation of Illinois.

It was recombined as Bellerophon crassus incomptus by Weller (1929); it was recombined as Bellerophon (Bellerophon) crassus incomptus by Yochelson and Saunders (1967); it was recombined as Bellerophon (Bellerophon) incomptus by Kues and Batten (2001).
