Chongichthys dentatus
Taxonomy
Chongichthys dentatus was named by Arratia (1982). Its type specimen is LBUCH 021778a, a skeleton (head and part of trunk with muscles, caudal fin missing), and it is a compression preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Quebrada El Profeta, which is in an Oxfordian marine marl in Chile.
