Taxonomy
Trochus missouriensis was named by Swallow (1860). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pleurotomaria missouriensis by Keyes (1894) and Morgan (1924); it was recombined as Euconospira missouriensis by Ulrich and Scofield (1897), Greger (1917) and Sayre (1930).
