Taxonomy
Fabifenestella abancaya was named by Sakagami (2004). Its type specimen is NSM PA-18672b and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lihuirco-Quisar, Sample Qu18, Abancay, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in the Copacabana Formation of Peru.
