Taxonomy
Casearia alpina was named by Senowbari-Daryan and Zankl (2010). It is not extant. Its type locality is Hoher Göll Reef, Austria, which is in a Sevatian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Dachstein Formation of Austria.
