Italopterus martinisi

Taxonomy
Thoracopterus martinisi was named by Tintori and Sassi (1992). Its type specimen is MFSNU 1885, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rio Seazza Valley, near Preone (MFSN collection), which is in an Alaunian carbonate dolomite in the Dolomia di Forni Formation of Italy.

It was recombined as Italopterus martinisi by Shen and Arratia (2022).
