Taxonomy
Letopaloptera albardiana was named by Martynova (1961). Its type specimen is PIN 117/2258, an exoskeleton (complete insect), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Letopala River (PIN collection 117), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation.
