Comptosia miranda
Taxonomy
Megacosmus mirandus was named by Cockerell (1909). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 14, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Megacosmus.
It was recombined as Comptosia miranda by Wedmann and Yeates (2008).
