Taxonomy
Permantispa emelyanovi was named by Ponomarenko and Shcherbakov (2004). Its type specimen is PIN 2099/6, a forewing (lacking base and proximal half of costal area), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Ilimpeya locality (PIN collection 2099), which is in a Changhsingian terrestrial horizon in the Degali Formation of the Russian Federation.
