Proedischia mezzalirai
Taxonomy
Proedischia mezzalirai was named by Pinto and de Ornellas (1978). Its type specimen is UFRGS MP-I-5282, a forewing (almost complete forewing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Praca da Bandeira, Well n. 2 IGG 205.5 m depth, Boituva, which is in a Gzhelian marine shale in the Itarare Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Proedischia.
