Carebara rugiceps

Taxonomy
Myrmica rugiceps was named by Heer (1849). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Oeningen (unspecified collection), which is in a Sarmatian crater lake limestone in the Upper Freshwater-Molasse Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Pheidologeton rugiceps by Assmann (1870) and Bolton (2012); it was recombined as Carebara rugiceps by Fischer et al. (2014).
