Taxonomy
Vesicocaulis multisiphonatus was named by Kovács (1978). Its type specimen is T-501/A1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Alshóhegy plateau, Western Carpathians, Hungary, which is in a Ladinian/Tuvalian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Wetterstein reef limestone Formation of Hungary.
