Orygmaspis was named by Resser (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Fran-u Sepkoski's reference number: 484,488]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Parabolinoididae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002).
