Taxonomy
Barroisia siciliana was named by Senowbari-Daryan and Abate (1996). It is not extant. Its type locality is Madonie Mountains, Piano Battaglia, Sicily, which is in a Tithonian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in Italy.
