Taxonomy
Blattina venusta was named by Lesquereux (1860). It is an impression. Its type locality is Frog Bayou, which is in a Moscovian terrestrial shale in Arkansas.
It was recombined as Etoblattina venusta by Scudder (1879) and Scudder (1895); it was recombined as Archimylacris venusta by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1920), Handlirsch (1922) and Schneider (1983); it was recombined as Parelthoblatta venusta by Durden (1984).
