Taxonomy
Blattina fascigera was named by Scudder (1878). It is an impression. Its type locality is Port Griffith railway cut, near Pittston, which is in a Westphalian C terrestrial siliciclastic in Pennsylvania.

It was recombined as Gerablattina fascigera by Scudder (1879) and Scudder (1895); it was recombined as Aphthoroblattina fascigera by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1920) and Handlirsch (1922); it was recombined as Necymylacris fascigera by Scudder (1878) and Schneider (1983).
