Adelophthalmus granosus

Taxonomy
Adelophthalmus (Eurypterus) granosus was named by Jordan (1854). It is an impression. Its type locality is Railroad cutting at Jägersfreude, which is in a Westphalian C marine ironstone in the Saarbrucken’schen Kohlengebirges Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Adelophthalmus, Polyzosterites.

It was recombined as Polyzosterites granosus by Goldenberg (1873) and Scudder (1879); it was recombined as Adelophthalmus granosus by Tetlie and Dunlop (2005).
