Taxonomy
Meioneurites (Parameioneurites) spectabilis was named by Engel (2005). Its type specimen is PIN 2784/1069, an exoskeleton (complete body & Wings), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2784), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Meioneurites (Parameioneurites).
