Taxonomy
Fortiblatta cuspicolor was named by Liang et al. (2009). Its type specimen is CNU-B-NN-2006-006, an exoskeleton (complete female), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2006 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
