Peltichia transversa
Taxonomy
Parenteletes transversus was named by Huang (1933). Its type specimen is NIGP 4678 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yangliuchieh, Locality T119a, Maha, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in China.
It was recombined as Enteletina transversus by Feng and Jiang (1978); it was recombined as Enteletina transversa by Liao (1980); it was recombined as Peltichia transversus by Xu and Grant (1994); it was recombined as Peltichia sinensis transversa by Zeng et al. (1995); it was recombined as Peltichia transversa by Shen and He (1994), Shen et al. (1999), Shen and Shi (2007) and Tazawa (2012).
