Taxonomy
Hirmoneura (Hirmoneura) elenae was named by Mostovski and Martínez-Delclòs (2000). Its type specimen is PIN 4210/6381, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 4210, layer 31), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siltstone/marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.
