Pseudosaratogia was named by Wilson (1951) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Dres-u Cm Fran-u Sepkoski's reference number: 80]. It is not extant. Its type is Pseudosaratogia magna.

It was assigned to Dokimocephalidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002).
