Taxonomy
Alicula lebachensis was named by von Schlechtendal (1913). Its type specimen is Naturhist. Ver. Bonn, 50(51), a wing (basal fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Steinbach near Lebach-Saar, which is in an Asselian fluvial-lacustrine shale in the Lebacher Schichten Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Permula lebachensis by Guthörl (1934), Aristov and Storozhenko (2011), Aristov (2015), Nel and Poschmann (2021) and Cui et al. (2021).
