Taxonomy
Neprotembia complicata was named by Aristov (2005). Its type specimen is PIN 1631/314, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Khal'mer-Yu coalfield, borehole KhK-371, depth 88 m, which is in a Kungurian terrestrial horizon in the Lek-Vorkuta Formation of the Russian Federation.
