Taxonomy
Rasnitsynaphis coniuncta was named by Homan and Wegierek (2011). Its type specimen is PIN 3064/2209, an exoskeleton (complete aphid), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 3064, bed 31), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large marl/siltstone in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.
