Taxonomy
Mesopsyche incompleta was named by Bashkuev (2011). Its type specimen is PIN 5103/286, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Balymotikha, Vyazniki (PIN collection 5103), which is in a Changhsingian pond claystone in the Vyazniki Formation of the Russian Federation.
