Taxonomy

Itaphlebia was named by Sukatsheva (1985). Its type is Itaphlebia completa.

It was assigned to Mesopanorpodidae by Sukatsheva (1985) and Hong (2007); and to Nannochoristidae by Liu et al. (2010), Cao et al. (2016) and Cao et al. (2022).
