Remopleuridiella was named by Ross (1951) [Sepkoski's age data: O Trem-l O Trem-u Sepkoski's reference number: 795]. Its type is Remopleuridiella caudalimbata.

It was assigned to Remopleurididae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002).
