Taxonomy
Timaniella convexa was named by Shi and Waterhouse (1996). Its type specimen is GSC 97568 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is JBW526, Ettrain Creek, which is in an Artinskian marine siltstone in the Jungle Creek Formation of Canada.
