Taxonomy
Asymptoceras tschernovi was named by Shimanskiy (1990). Its type specimen is PIN 1397/115 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kozhim River, Nortnicheskiy horizon, which is in a Chadian/Arundian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
