Hecht 1992 | A choristoderan distinguished from other members of this group by the presence of the following complex of autapomorphes : a, elongated paired dorsal nares set high on snout ; b, nares separated at midline by reduced nasals and premaxilla ; c, broad squamosal-postorbital bar ; d, premaxilla spine lengthened posteriorly; e, tooth rows on the pterygoid and palatine consist of isolated large teeth ; f, osteodermal ossifications around border of supratemporal fenestra and on temporal arch ; g, complex rugose ornamentation on most skull bones ; h, cervical ribs broad, flattened and expanded with large capitulum in relation to tuberculum; i, postzygapophoseal tubercle on cervicals ; j, weak accessory vertebral articulation below postzygapophysis; k, no trunk intercentra ; I, ectepicondylar groove bridged to form foramen ; m, unguals narrow and not flattened. |
