Taxonomy
Strophalosia bajkurica was named by Ustritsky (1963). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tsvetochnaya River, Outcrop 46, Taimyr Lake, which is in a Capitanian marine siliciclastic in the Baikur Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Subtaeniothaerus bajkurica by Solomina (1988).
