Diagnosis. Shell &64258;at, lens-shaped; base only slightly convex; whorls without subsutural spiral rib and ramp; whorls with two weak edges, the adapical being somewhat stronger; umbilicus very narrow.

Taxonomy
Lensataphrus tenuis was named by Gründel et al. (2011). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Coast near Redcar, Cleveland, UK, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian marine horizon in the Redcar Mudstone Formation of the United Kingdom.
