Taxonomy
Ingruo smolenskyi was named by Becker-Migdisova (1960). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 84/6114, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Soyana, Iva-Gora (TsNIGR collection), which is in a Roadian lagoonal sandstone in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation.
