Anaprosbole ivensis was named by Becker-Migdisova (1960). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Soyana (PIN collection 117), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Anaprosbole.
It was considered a nomen nudum by Becker-Migdisova (1946) and Evans (1956).
