Origoasilus pingquanensis

Taxonomy
Origoasilus pingquanensis was named by Zhang et al. (2011). Its type specimen is CNU-DIB-HC2008001, an exoskeleton (complete fly), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Yangshulin town, Pingquan County (CNU collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Yixian Formation of China. It is the type species of Origoasilus.
