Alanisia was named by Hupe (1953) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-u Cm Boto-l Sepkoski's reference number: 923]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Estaingiidae by Jell and Adrain (2003).
