Taxonomy
Siphonophoroides orapaensis was named by Rayner and Waters (1989). Its type specimen is BP/2/25970, a forewing (isolated forewing), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Orapa (Bernard Price Institute), which is in a Turonian lacustrine - large mudstone in Botswana.
