Gobiates asiaticus

Taxonomy
Gobiates asiaticus was named by Ročec and Nessov (1993). Its type specimen is LU-N6/370, an other (partial right squmosal), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CBI-14, Dzharakuduk II, which is in a Turonian/Turonian fluvial sandstone/conglomerate in the Bissekty Formation of Uzbekistan.

Z. Roček 2008(1) Lamella alaris squamosi slender (a/b = 3.6-3.7), sometimes without processus dorsalis; and (2) the lamella is declined posteriorly so that a perpendicular line constructed from the posterior end of squamoso-maxillary suture cuts the orbital margin of the lamella anteriorly.
