Gobiates furcatus

Taxonomy
Gobiates furcatus was named by Ročec and Nessov (1993). Its type specimen is LU-N5/165, a maxilla (posterior part of the left maxilla), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CBI-4b, Dzharakuduk II, which is in a Turonian/Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Bissekty Formation of Uzbekistan.

Roček 2008(1) Lamina horizontalis maxillae thin and narrow; (2) its posterior end bifurcates in two ridges e upper ridge continues posterodorsally, the lower delimits the end of tooth row; (3) tooth row exceeds posteriorly level of the end of lamina horizontalis; and (4) inner surface of margo orbitalis and processus zygomaticomaxillaris wrinkled.
