Taxonomy
Pseudoacarterus orapaensis was named by Waters (1989). Its type specimen is BP/2/25224ab, an exoskeleton (mangled body with well preserved wings), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Orapa (Bernard Price Institute), which is in a Turonian lacustrine - large mudstone in Botswana. It is the type species of Pseudoacarterus.
