Taxonomy
Colobodus baii was named by Sun et al. (2008). Its type specimen is GMPKU-P-1207, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yangjuan, Hill South(S4), Bed 84, which is in a Pelsonian carbonate limestone in China.
