Eutreptodactylus itaboraiensis
Taxonomy
Eutreptodactylus itaboraiensis was named by Baird and Vickers-Rich (1997). Its type specimen is MNB 4083v, a limb element (Incomplete distal fragment of a right tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Eutreptodactylus.
