Taxonomy
Shachemys baibolatica was named by Kuznetsov (1976). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Akkurgan (AKK-3), which is in a Santonian/Campanian terrestrial sandstone in the Bostobe Formation of Kazakhstan.
