Palaeoproteus gallicus

Taxonomy
Palaeoproteus gallicus was named by Estes et al. (1967). Its type specimen is MNHN CR 6692, a set of vertebrae (Trunk vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cernay, which is in a Thanetian terrestrial horizon in the Conglomérat de Cernay Formation of France.
